《藥草瑜珈》的緒論（中譯本篇名：植物是意識的展現），最後一段話原文如上。
換一個更具體的靈性的說法，意思是身為藥草師，要我們成為能夠感知植物靈的靈視者 "seer"，要對植物的「存有」具有一定敏感度，要能夠體察植物作為 light of the universe 內在存有的意識。植物對我們說話的時候，要學會聆聽，也要學會跟植物溝通，如同跟人說話一樣，並且把植物視為導師。
"Light of the Universe" 這個說法，在我學習藥草學的課程中，老師稱之為 "Light of Nature"，在《元素藥草學》課程中我也大量提到這個名詞。但是翻譯成中文真的很難，「自然之光」，「自然的智慧」，都不太能完全展現出這個名詞的意義。所以用各元素來反覆闡釋，從宇宙認識論開始談起，從空無一物的虛無開始，有了震動與摩擦，產生火光，之後才有物質生命。
講藥草學要從哲學、玄學、宇宙大爆炸開始談（扶額），人生很難，但因此很有趣。
